As you know we did not put in a proposal to run the City Animal Shelter under the new contract, due to several points of contention, primarily the exclusion of County animals. So, as of the 1st of January 2000 the new operators will began taking care of the City Shelter, please support the animals. We will still be the Elmore County Humane Society and will continue to monitor all the county animals as best we can, and provide contact services for those with problems. As we will no longer operate the City Shelter we will have limited funding and housing abilities. We will be using our reserve funds to operate with, hopefully supplementing them with fund raising activities, so, your support will be needed, we do have some foster homes available and will provide other services within our capabilities and the community needs, call for more information. We take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support over the years, and hope you continue to support any and all programs for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
